In the time I was at Best Friends in Kanab, I did a lot of cleaning. But I was outshone by a long shot by the Dream Team; Bonnie Grafton and Kelly Parsley Moore. These two came to Kanab and meant business. And they did wonders.
When I wasn’t cleaning, I was shooting video, writing or taking notes. It was a little difficult to do both. So at one point, I had to draw a close to one side of it: the cleaning, and get on to the business at hand and shoot video and write.
It wasn’t easy. So I still have scads of video to edit and upload. There will be more to come. But at the moment, I have edited a video about the overall feeling of the first part of my time at the Parrot Garden this time around. It’s a glimpse of what it’s like to work there and what you might see if you were to come to the Parrot Garden:

Teach a parrot the terms ‘supply and demand’ and you’ve got an economist.
