Last April at the Midwest Bird Expo in the Chicago area, I was asked to give a presentation on “Chop.” I got some friends together to help me. “The Chopettes,” as they called themselves, made an enormous batch of Chop in about 45 minutes while I yakked. The resulting batch of Chop was then donated to Irena Schulz’s rescue and adoption foundation “Bird Lovers Only.” Artist and photographer Su Gould took this photograph while Irena, my friend Paula Rossow and I went over some of the arrangements of the preparation tables and ingredients. Naturally, this photo was just begging to become a “Photo-Toon.”
